Cytotoxic and alpha amylase-inhibitory metabolites from Tagetes minuta: In vitro evaluation and docking studies
نویسندگان
چکیده
Purpose: To investigate the cytotoxic and alpha-amylase inhibitory (AAI) potential of methanol (MeOH) extract T. minuta its isolated metabolites.
Methods: Phytochemical investigation MeOH aerial parts was accomplished using SiO2 Rp-18 column chromatography (CC). The structures metabolites were determined verified based on various data, in addition to comparison with literature data. assessed for against HepG2, MCF-7, HCT116 cell lines utilizing sulphur rhodamine B (SRB) assay. vitro AAI also assayed, findings confirmed results from molecular docking studies. Results: One thiophene (compound 1), one coumarin 2), three phenolic compounds (compounds 3-5) characterized. Compound 1 exhibited a marked effect (IC50 values: 2.7 – 7.3 μM) lines, relative doxorubicin 0.18 - 0.60 μM), whereas compound 2 had moderate MCF-7 17.7 μM). Besides, 4 5 produced potent effects, IC50 values 12.3 9.2 μM, respectively, 91.8 94.7 % inhibition, respectively), when compared acarbose (94.7 inhibition 7.1 Interestingly, silico agreement each other. Compounds more negative scores (-13.655 -12.135 kcal/mol, respectively) than native inhibitors, myricetin (-12.155 kcal/mol) (-15.105 kcal/mol). Conclusion: These suggest that is valuable source anti-diabetic However, there need validate these through additional vivo investigations.
